Scythia Films Announces Lula Ali Ismaïl to Direct 'Nuur'
Scythia Films is delighted to announce that Lula Ali Ismaïl is set to direct the upcoming feature, NUUR, in collaboration with Good Question Media.
Adapted from Hassan Ghedi Santur’s novel “The Youth of God”, the story follows the life of an academically gifted 17-year-old. Set in Dixon, the Somali community in Toronto, it touches on themes of migration, assimilation, longing for the home country, intergenerational trauma, and a constant struggle for identity.
